Anita Alvarez: A Reminder That We All Need a Coach in Our Lives

On June 22, 2022, American artistic swimmer Anita Alvarez fainted and sank to the bottom of the pool during her solo free routine at the FINA World Aquatic Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Her coach, Andrea Fuentes, immediately jumped into the pool and pulled her to safety. Alvarez was unconscious for about a minute, but she made a full recovery.

This incident is a reminder that we all need a coach in our lives. A coach is someone who can see our potential, help us to overcome our challenges, and guide us to success. A coach can be a friend, family member, mentor, or even a stranger.
